Solarspace Frameless Systems use a range of aluminium connectors to clip the panels together on top of the roof. Essentially these become the structure offering a seamless underside free of any rafters and purlins.
The flush ceiling like result lets the light in but keeps the heat out.
Danpalon Freespan Rafter Systems consist of a special aluminium rafter that connects the panels. The panels are then clipped together with a polycarbonate connector giving an assembly that is mechanically locked together.
This system shows rafters only on the underside and a regular rib on the outside.
Danpalon can be installed on new and existing structures either by attaching to purlins at centres depending on the span versus load or alternatively rafters only at centres to suit the panel widths.
Rafter only installs give a clean appearance from the underside.
